This is an amazing way to locate details of their early life & family.
Taken on the evening of the 19th/20th June 1921 this much anticipated collection has been released on the Scotland’s People Website rather appropriately on St Andrews Day. The cost per entry is 6 credits which equates to £1.50.
Returns contain the following: -
· The address where the family lived, number of rooms in the house along with details of the number of people in the household.
· Name, relationships to head of house, age, sex, birthplace & nationality of individuals.
· Occupation & the status of that occupation e.g., Retired or working. Unlike previous Census returns it also lists who their employer was.

Bear in mind however that the 1931 Census for England/Wales was destroyed by fire.
For me it was lovely to view the entry of my Grandfather aged 13 who was living above the Public House owned & ran by his father. With 10 Brothers & 1 Sister most of the boys would serve in the Air Forces during both wars. This included his brother Mac aged 22 who by now had returned from World War 1 as an Ace with a DCM & Ronnie aged just 2 months who would later serve during World War 2 in Bomber Command.
