WW2 Fighter Command Losses & Airmen
Project Introduction Page
Formed in 1936 probably the largest battle Fighter Command was involved in was the Battle of Britain. A Battle that took place between July & October 1940 when the brave men who flew our Spitfires & Hurricanes fought to hold off attack by the German Luftwaffe.

In 1943 the force was split in two - the 'Air Defence of Great Britain' (ADGB) who would defend Britain & the 'Second Tactical Air Force' (2TAF) who would support allied ground forces after the invasion of Europe.

All these forces are covered in these pages. Some of their stories are told here, the project page will be updated as more men are added so be sure to check back.

Note:- This page along with the Squadron page acts as a website index so that any information on men or aircraft can be easily found. The amount of content depends on the project/article.
